Ritchey Design recognised around the world as one of the cycling industry’s premier innovators of high-quality bicycle components have signed up as title sponsor for the 2013 Bristol Bikefest and Oktoberfest – elevating our event to its highest level.
The 2013 event will be the twelve’s Bikefest, and once again held on the famous all weather course in Ashton Court, Bristol. So expect some fast flowing single track doesn’t matter what the weather has up it’s sleeve.
Once again we have Ritchey as our long standing partners on the event who will help to create another fantastic Bristol Bikefest.
But there is more - 2013 will again let you experience a double take of ‘Bikefest’ fun with the return of the October round - the one-day Oktoberfest event, which was successfully launched in 2010 with raving reviews. So if you want a similar mix of race packed action that the fantastic trails Ashton Court has to offer with the laid back atmosphere of the event, then the Oktoberfest with a few ‘bavarian’ touches thrown into the mix…the signing on and bar team dressed in typical Bavarian costume, pretzels at the bar, Bavarian flags everywhere and to top it all off - oompah music in the background, then come and join us.
The events: Ritchey Bristol Bikefest: 8th-9th June 2013 GO>> Stans NoTubes Oktoberfest: 12th October 2013 GO>>
The venue (new for 2013):
The event will be based at the top part of Ashton Court, Bristol. As the racing starts at 9am, most riders arrive on Friday afternoon to check out the course (open from 5pm onwards) and to ease into an action packed cycling and camping weekend. As in 2012 there will be a DJ playing some tunes on Friday evening with a bar and caterers in the event village, ready to set you up for a weekend of flat out racing. Saturday night will see the main party live music / DJ and bar.
For 2013 we have a new event venue and camping. The new setup is right next to the trail on the grounds of the Bristol Cathedral Choir School. This allows us to have camping and event village in one location and right next to the track. It also gives the event access to great shower and changing facilities.
