You are currently on the Ritchey Bristol Bikefest website.

The Kona Bristol Bikefest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport is coming closer and closer and one of our new additions to the line-up is that CycleActive is joining us throughout the event weekend – offering their services to everybody on site. So if you are keen to improve your riding, pick up a few tips or maybe get your kids involved in one of the activities on site than better read on.

CycleActive, the mtb skills training and travel company, will bring their unique brand of skills training to Bristol Bikefest this year. Their expert instruction will be on offer to all participants, and their families, in a range of ways:

For the adults:
Get training on speed, skills, jumps, drops and a whole range of other techniques that will help you fly down the trails – or over them – with total confidence. CycleActive are offering all participants 25% off their courses at Malvern Hills or Cannock Chase, provided you quote your entry number when booking and get signed up before 31 July 2010.

The same discount applies on private coaching sessions if you want the benefit of one-2-one focussed tuition, but only if you’re signed up for the Bikefest. Check out the full range of courses at www.cycleactive.co.uk/courses.html

For kids and families:
On Saturday the CycleActive skills area will give some speed, skill and race training advice to all the young riders who turn up. They’ll be running 30 minute skills sessions and every participant will go away with a goody bag, good ideas and real biking inspiration.

On Sunday the emphasis will shift to getting over obstacles and into the air, with junior pump and jump sessions. Again based out of the skills area at the heart of the event, the CycleActive instruction will be safe, professional and give junior riders a whole bunch of new techniques to work on.

More about CycleActive:
The expertise of CycleActive is now widely regarded in the cycle industry and their instructors work with everyone from keen riders to families to the Olympic Talent Team. Every instructor is highly skilled, experienced and qualified – they started in 1996 so are one of the longest running pure cycling training companies in the UK.

The owner and founder, Chris Ford, has been a keen supporter of cycle events for many years, and was the first to introduce junior sessions to many of the biggest bike festivals in the UK. We’re grateful for his enthusiasm and commitment as he does this without charge, as part of their drive to get youngsters inspired, skilled up and enjoying their bikes in new ways.

Find out more about Chris, his team, and the courses they run at www.cycleactive.co.uk
