Entries – Saturday 12 hour SOLO entry now closed still TEAM and PAIRS entries left After a hugely successful year in 2008 the entries for the 2009 Kona Bristol Bikefest have been flying in to the level that we have now closed the SOLO entries for the Saturday 12 hour event. There are still TEAM and PAIRS entries available for Saturday but even those are getting close to their limit. So if you still want to enter the Saturday event as a TEAM of 4 or as a PAIR make sure you get your entry is as soon as possible.

If you can’t get into the 12 hour SOLO event or simply fancy something a little shorter then don’t worry - there are still lots of places available for the Sunday 6 hour and 3 hour event. Same as the big brother on Saturday you can enter the 6 hour event as teams of four, pairs or as solo riders. Or if you fancy to just dip your toe into the Bristol Bikefest water why not try the 3 hour novice event which you can enter as a solo rider or in a team of 2-4 riders. To enter simply go to the entry page and either download your entry form and send it through to us or click through to our new online entry. Providing there are still places left (please keep your eye on the website) there we will be day entries available for the Sunday event.

Loyalty gift – make a proper riding weekend out of it – it is well worth it For all the keen beans out there who want to make the most of the Bristol Bikefest weekend – don’t forget the loyalty gift (worth more the £ 25) which you will receive if you enter both events over the Bristol weekend or if you enter an event at the Bristol Bikefest and an event at the Cheddar Bikefest on the 12-13th September. Even if you have entered the Saturday already you will still be entitled to the loyalty gift if you enter the 6 or 3 hour event now. Please don’t forget to mark you entry form for easy recognition.

Rider Notes - To make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible over the weekend we have now put the rider notes / briefing up on the website. If you are in the event or just thinking of coming up to watch please have a good read of the details. You can find the rider notes on our briefing page.

Camping - We have put up a camping plan on the facility page which will help everybody to locate their camping plot. The two camp grounds will be open from 3pm on Friday onwards. Please check if you are in the main field or the rugby club before turning up.

Event Village - The event village is getting bigger and bigger and there will be lots of shiny stuff on show and for test. So far we have Kona, Ritchey, Sombrio, Saris, CycleOps, Litespeed, Merlin, Torq, Cannondale, Cube, Bionicon, ZeroG, Red Bull, Intense, Maverick, NeoGuard, Merida, Ergon, Upgrade, Rolling Resistance and High5 signed up with more booking forms coming in. Watch this space for updates.

The weekend’s entertainment: And don’t forget there is lots more going on then ‘just riding and looking at fancy bike stuff’ but there is also some great evening entertainment laid out for everbody. We will have the bar open on Friday and Saturday night and have organised a DJ who will play some tunes in the main marquee. As the main music act we have signed up ‘The Mudheads’ who will take the stage in the main marquee on Saturday night after the prize presentation.
