Entry
fees, categories and entering from abroad. 2009 Rider lists: Rider list 2009 XLS 40kb - NOW AVAILABLE - CLICK TO DOWNLOAD. Entry fee and confirmation The entry fee is £ 30.00 per team rider for teams of two and four riders and £ 30.00 for solo riders. Please make sure that every team member in your team fills in an entry form and that you send the correct amount of money for your team. Please note teams will only be entered once all monies are received. It is best to gather all entry forms and cheques together and then send them off to us to be processed. IMPORTANT: To make the entry and confirmation process as easy as possible please send us ONLY complete team entries i.e. all entry forms and entry fees together in one envelop. Please check the camping situation. You will find details on the BRIEFING and the FACILITIES page. Once we have received your entry we will inform you of your successful entry either by email or by post. For that reason please make sure that you add the LEGIBLE email address of every rider to the entry form as it makes our job so much more straight forward. If you are entering from abroad please let us know once you have transferred the money so that we can check from this end. Once we have received both we will confirm your entry. All categories are available for male, female and mixed teams. We will have Team Open, Team ‘Old Gits’ (average age of riders needs to be 40+ years) and Team Single Speed) there is no single speed category on Sunday). Race Start is at 9am on Saturday morning (for the 12 hour event) and at 10am on Sunday morning (for the 6 and 3 hour event).
Exception to this rule is the KONA 3 hour novice event which will take place on Sunday and will only have a novice category. The 3 hour event can be ridden as a team of 2-4 riders or as a solo event. If you struggle to make up the numbers in your team the number of riders will be rounded up and you will be placed into the appropriate category. If a category gets less than 5 entries it will be integrated into another category. Prize money and other prizes will be split across the top riders in the competitive and the single speed category. Cancellations and day entries: If you need to cancel up to a the week before the event then you will get your entry fee minus a £ 5 handling fee back or you can transfer your entry to another event in the same year. If you have to cancel in the week leading up to the event then we will not be able to pay your entry fee back or transfer your entry to another event. Your entry is however transferable to another person up to the day of registration. Day/late entry to all the event is the normal entry charge plus £ 5.
