Welcome to the 14th Ritchey Bristol Bikefest - one of the UKs longest standing mountain bike endurance races. Once again held at the famous all weather fast flowing singletrack course in Ashton Court.
On the 10th of October 2015 Ashton Court will once more be the battle ground for the HALO Oktoberfest powered by Heritage Volkswagen.
As in the last four years the unofficial season finale – the Oktoberfest – will be the well deserved single track crescendo of the 2015 season – and all this with two new partners on board HALO Wheels and Heritage Volkswagen. (more…)Event report and event video!
Ok, not blessed with the Bikefest typical ‘door to door’ sunshine but never the less another fantastic, emotional, kind of cider fuelled (at least for some), partly muddy yet fun packed weekend. The 14th Bristol Bikefest sponsored by Ritchey and Heritage Volkswagen had a long stint of perfect weather leading up to it but the ‘dark cloud’ of heavy summer showers and thunderstorms loomed over the event. Even the famous ‘good weather flip flops’ of event organiser Paul Newman could not bring out the sunshine but at least they turned the forecasted biblical downpours into a gentle drizzle. Just returned from the Bikefest venue after the first round of cleaning up. We will have a proper report including video and lots of pictures in the next few days.
